With enterprises increasingly adopting open source and open standards, JBoss has become a leading provider of enterprise open source middleware and its application server the premier choice for more than one thousand customers, according to company CEO Mark Fleury. As the most widely deployed application server on the market, JBoss has proven to be a reliable and scalable solution providing users with a flexible architecture and simple development experience.

Tyler Jewell, senior director, Applications Solutions at Quest Software with SYS-CON publisher Jeremy Geelan during his SYS-CON Television interview.
So by certifying with JBoss, Quest Software will be able to offer J2EE management solutions that extend the performance and availability, change and configuration, and code quality and optimization capabilities natively found in the JBoss Application Server.
“Quest is working with JBoss to make certified management solutions available to enterprises already deploying open source applications on the JBoss platform and ensure their continuous performance and availability,” said Larry Humphries, vice president, application management solutions, Quest Software. “This new partnership underscores Quest Software’s commitment to open source application management and acts as a proof point of our leadership in the J2EE application management space.”
Quest Software will be certifying components of the Quest Application Management Suite for the J2EE platform for use with JBoss. Over the next few months the following will be certified:
- Monitoring for performance and availability of the J2EE application stack with Quest Foglight® for the J2EE platform;
- Diagnosis of application performance issues down to the line of code with the exclusive Tag-and-Follow technology in Quest PerformaSure; and,
- Complete performance tuning for Java code profiling, memory debugging and code coverage analysis with Quest JProbe Suite.
