Upswing Golf Offers Tournament Planners a Way to Raise More Money and Add Value to Their Event

WOODINVILLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/07/05 -- Organizations who run golf tournaments or auctions to raise money for their cause can now take advantage of a new promotional program offered by the Upswing Golf Company. As a way to introduce its golf clubs directly to the golfing public, Upswing has introduced The Tournament Directors Program which allows event organizers to purchase a select group of clubs at a considerable discount. Event organizers use the clubs to raise money for their cause by auctioning, raffling or giving them away as prizes. (Tournament planners and event organizers are invited to call Upswing at 1-866-794-6408 or visit www.upswinggolf.com/tournaments.htm for more information.)

The Tournament Directors Program offers both pre-selected and customized selection of clubs in a series of seven Tournament Directors Packages that start below $100 and carry retail values of $350 and higher. For example, Tournament Directors Package III carries a retail value of over $1,000 and includes the Upswing Golf 400cc Titanium Driver and 7 Wood both with frequency-matched Aldila graphite shafts, 280cc Stainless Steel graphite shafted Driver, Putter and three wedges (Gap, Sand & Lob) for under $250 including shipping & order processing.

Each package is shipped with a handsome display stand and a Free Golf Club Certificate offer that can be given to all the golfers in their event. "Fundraising events that have tested our program have been very pleased with the return on their investment," says Mr. Richard Merk, president of Upswing. "We are finding it more cost effective than driving up the cost of our clubs with unnecessary markups, endorsements and advertising." Upswing will also work with event organizers to customize a tournament package that is just right for their event.

The Tournament Directors packages are an expansion of an already popular Free Golf Club Certificate program that provides any golf tournament free golf club certificates at no charge. Each golfer receives a "goody bag" certificate for one free Upswing golf club for a nominal charge that includes shipping and order processing. Tournament organizers are not obligated to purchase a Directors Package to receive the Free Golf Club Certificates.

IoT & Smart Cities Stories
The challenges of aggregating data from consumer-oriented devices, such as wearable technologies and smart thermostats, are fairly well-understood. However, there are a new set of challenges for IoT devices that generate megabytes or gigabytes of data per second. Certainly, the infrastructure will have to change, as those volumes of data will likely overwhelm the available bandwidth for aggregating the data into a central repository. Ochandarena discusses a whole new way to think about your next...

Cell networks have the advantage of long-range communications, reaching an estimated 90% of the world. But cell networks such as 2G, 3G and LTE consume lots of power and were designed for connecting people. They are not optimized for low- or battery-powered devices or for IoT applications with infrequently transmitted data. Cell IoT modules that support narrow-band IoT and 4G cell networks will enable cell connectivity, device management, and app enablement for low-power wide-area network IoT. B...

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
