Best Buy and Rewards Network(SM) Partner to Offer Members Immediate Gratification With Reward Zone(R) Dining

CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 10/14/09 -- Rewards Network (NASDAQ: DINE), a leading provider of dining rewards programs in North America, has announced a partnership with Best Buy to attract new members who can earn points toward purchases at the retail chain just for dining out at Rewards Network restaurants. The best thing about the program? Immediate gratification. Each dine will earn points for members that can be used at any Best Buy location.

The Rewards Network program that brings these two partners together is Reward Zone Dining, which is free. Members need only to sign up at the Reward Zone Dining Web site and then dine at any one of thousands of participating restaurants, bars and clubs to begin earning points. The program favors frequent diners by offering three tiers of membership, allowing restaurant lovers to earn up to three points per dollar spent at participating places.

To sweeten the pot, new members can get instant reward gratification and earn 500 points when they spend $25 or more on one dine during their first 30 days of joining the program. With 500 points translating to a $10 Reward Zone certificate, this means diners can use their points to purchase merchandise at Best Buy after just one meal.

"Best Buy is a great partner to add to our program, which also includes major airlines, hotel chains and a college savings program," says Ron Blake, President and CEO of Rewards Network. "We offer the most comprehensive dining rewards program in the industry, and this unique partnership enables us to expand our reward menu for members. Best Buy's customers are online savvy and appreciate great value, which is what Rewards Network is all about."

Members who use their Reward Zone program MasterCard® will earn additional points for use towards purchases at Best Buy stores. To learn more about the program and enroll, visit: www.rewardzonedining.com.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
