Jobs to Intro iCloud

iCloud is widely believed to be or include a cloud-based music-streaming locker

Although on medical leave since January, Steve Jobs is scheduled to turn up for Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 6.

Apple said Tuesday morning that Jobs "and a team of Apple executives will kick off" the conference with a "keynote address" covering Lion, the next Mac OS X; iOS 5, its next iPad, iPhone and iPod operating system; and iCloud, which Apple's press release identifies as its "upcoming cloud services offering."

iCloud is widely believed to be or include a cloud-based music-streaming locker that's bigger and better and more popular with the record labels than Amazon's Cloud Drive or Google's Music.

Whether it also involves Mobile Me is anybody's guess.

Jobs was last seen in public at the iPad 2 introduction in March.
