"As a long-time contributor to Java EE and an application server category co-inventor," Linskey said, "BEA has made significant contributions to this latest release of the specification, Java EE 5, including Web Services Metadata (JSR 181), EJB 3.0 (JSR-220), as well as StaX (JSR 173). BEA is excited about the simplification of the persistence model and will accelerate its adoption by providing OpenJPA, the open source implementation of the Java Persistence API."
