Roger Strukhoff spent the early part of his career with Miller Freeman Publications (now CMP) and the International Data Group as an Editorial Director and President/Publisher. He also served as a member of the Long-Term Planning Committee at IDG.
He then co-founded a marketing services firm that developed custom publications and events, including the JavaOne Conference, for a variety of leading IT companies. He sold this firm in 2004 before joining SYS-CON Media.
He has spearheaded SYS-CON's recent editorial and Internet TV coverage in AJAX-related publications and events, as well as the company's continued leadership in key i-technology markets such as SOA Web Services, Java, Linux/Open Source, and emerging Web 2.0 markets.
"We are very excited to see Roger at the helm of the world's most powerful i-technology media company," said Fuat Kircaali, founder and CEO of SYS-CON Media. "Roger earned this post through his leadership over the past two years in re-focusing the company's editorial direction and developing our tremendously successful events lineup in both our traditional markets and emerging markets such as AJAX, Web 2.0, and other 'bleeding-edge' technologies."
"These are among the most exciting times I've witnessed in the technology industry," Strukhoff said upon accepting his new position. "SYS-CON's laser-sharp i-technology focus during a time when the industry is not only coming back but re-shaping itself will continue to serve the company and its customers extremely well. Our leadership in all of the key facets of i-technology will continue to deliver unique and powerful benefits to our readers and sponsors."
