BEIJING, Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Xueda Education Group (NYSE: XUE) ("Xueda" or the "Company"), a leading national provider of tutoring services for primary and secondary school students in China with a focus on offering personalized tutoring services, today announced the appointment of Ms. Christine Lu-Wong as its new Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") effective November 26, 2012. Concurrent to Ms. Lu-Wong's appointment, Mr. Jeffery Gao is resigning from his CFO position to pursue other interests.

Ms. Lu-Wong has over 19 years of finance and management experience with multinational corporations, public accounting firms and US-listed Chinese enterprises. Her broad professional expertise covers financial planning and reporting, accounting, internal controls, M&A, tax and capital raising.  Before joining Xueda, Ms. Lu-Wong was CFO of NASDAQ-listed Pactera Technology International Ltd (formerly, HiSoft Technology International Limited), a global consulting and technology services provider. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, she was vice president of finance at NYSE-listed WuXi PharmaTech Inc., a China-based research and development outsourcing company. Ms. Lu-Wong previously also held various positions at major global companies, including Hewlett-Packard Company, Sun Microsystems, Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She received a bachelor's degree in international trade and economics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and an M.B.A. in Accounting from Golden Gate University. Ms. Lu-Wong is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.
