Symplified®, the Cloud Identity Company, today announced three new executives to its leadership team. Effective immediately, Brian Doheny is senior vice president of worldwide field operations; Vasa Dasan is vice president of engineering; and Randy Streu is vice president of business development. The appointments are a key part of Symplified’s efforts to continue its momentum, growth and market leadership in identity and access (IAM) management.
“More than 50 percent of IAM deployments will be hybrid by 2015, integrating cloud-based applications with enterprise-side software, according to Gartner analysts1,” said Symplified CEO Shayne Higdon. “Symplified is poised to be at the forefront of that market, enabling organizations to manage user identities and access across any device or application, whether on-premises or in the cloud. Brian, Vasa and Randy round out our leadership team with the experience to help establish Symplified as the primary way businesses, employees, partners, and customers access Web and mobile apps, simply and securely, anywhere in the world.”

Doheny brings nearly 20 years of enterprise software sales management experience to Symplified. Most recently, he was vice president of worldwide sales for the user workspace management group at Quest Software, now a part of Dell. Doheny previously led sales in the Americas as vice president for LANDesk Software where he helped drive record growth over a multi-year span. Doheny was also vice president of sales in the Americas for Altiris (now Symantec), where he was instrumental in growing the company’s channel and field sales strategy.
Dasan joined Symplified from Wayin, a mobile and web engagement platform founded by Scott McNealy. As CTO, Vasa built and led the team that developed Wayin’s services for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, social media applications including Facebook and Twitter, and Java backend services operating on Amazon Web Services. Dasan spent more than 15 years of his career at Sun Microsystems. He was chief technologist for the company’s Cloud Computing Practice, and he spent more than a decade as Distinguished Engineer for the company’s SunService division.
Streu brings to Symplified over 15 years of experience driving strategic partnerships, sales and product strategy for public and private companies. He was previously vice president of business development for DynamicOps (now VMware), the leading cloud automation company, where he was responsible for worldwide indirect OEM and Channel revenues. Previously, Streu served as vice president of product management and strategy for Configuresoft (now EMC) where he helped grow the company into a recognized leader in security and compliance management and guide its integration into EMC.
