CSC today named Dan Hushon, 44, chief technology officer. Mr. Hushon previously served as a distinguished engineer and chief technologist for EMC Corporation and Sun Microsystems.

Mr. Hushon, who will report to CSC President and CEO Mike Lawrie, will provide the leadership for driving the strategy and growth of CSC’s product lines and boosting technology excellence across the company.
“Our company’s transformation initiative relies heavily on our ability to drive growth in next-generation technology solutions,” said Mr. Lawrie. “Dan’s leadership experience in developing cloud, big data and analytics, and other next-generation technologies at EMC and Sun will significantly augment our organization’s capabilities.”
Mr. Hushon joins CSC from EMC Corporation, where he was chief technologist for key strategic initiatives in big data, cloud technologies and next-generation infrastructure as well as the chief technologist of the service provider business. Previously, he had served at Sun Microsystems in a variety of roles, including chief technologist for a cloud service and chief technologist for the global sales organization. Mr. Hushon has more than 20 years of information technology industry experience delivering technology-differentiated solutions to private, public and international customers.
Mr. Hushon holds a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University. He will start on Feb. 28.
