"We're thrilled to welcome Burke Kaltenberger and Dave Spenhoff to the Infochimps team," said Jim Kaskade, CEO, Infochimps. "Dave's legacy of building thriving tech businesses beginning at Sun, as well as Burke's background helping the Fortune 1000 adopt Big Data solutions, most recently at MapR, make them ideal fits to execute on our strategy to empower enterprises with immediate, actionable, data-driven insight."
Spenhoff helped establish Sun as the leader in enterprise and Internet computing, leading the product marketing efforts that positioned Solaris and Java as enterprise platforms of choice. Then, at Veritas, he helped position a market-dominating storage management solution that redefined its category, enabling spectacular sales growth. Recently Spenhoff has helped emerging companies, including Inxight and MarkLogic, define and launch successful go-to-market strategies and has provided strategic marketing guidance to a number of technology companies.
Kaltenberger's highly successful career as a leader in software and technology companies spans more than 13 years. A veteran of Big Data, Kaltenberger most recently served as Vice President of Western Region Sales for MapR, where he led direct sales of Big Data solutions to Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to this role he led direct sales for the west at ParAccel and channel sales for the North/South American regions at Syncsort. Before his career with technology companies, Kaltenberger spent ten years as an officer and aviator in the U.S. Navy.
