KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Spectrum Business Ventures, Inc. today announced the hiring of Ravi Srivastava as Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr. Srivastava's deep experience in M&A evaluation and integration – specifically within the technology sector - represents a key strategic hire for the growing private investment firm as it seeks high-growth opportunities.
Mr. Srivastava, whose previous roles at Yahoo! include serving as Vice President, Business Monetization & Strategy for the $3 billion Americas division, is a strong complement to SBV's executive management team as the company focuses on growth, enhanced operations for its newly acquired assets as well as the identification of new opportunities to create value in the technology sector.
"Ravi's experience in executing growth and turnaround strategies in a variety of business units clearly demonstrates his ability to create value from underperforming assets, which is at the core of what we do at SBV," said Amit Raizada, Chief Executive Officer of Spectrum Business Ventures, Inc. "We like to buy things we know something about, so his experience with tech companies only bolsters our expertise and confidence in this area."
Mr. Srivastava's career includes several leadership, strategy and development positions for blue-chip technology and financial companies including Intuit, Sun Microsystems, Motorola and Goldman Sachs. At SBV, Mr. Srivastava will join the mergers & acquisitions team, managing aspects of sourcing, due diligence and fundraising.
"The opportunity to join a growing firm with its substantial financial and relationship resources is incredibly exciting," said Mr. Srivastava. "I could not pass up the chance to be a part of it."
Mr. Srivastava joined the firm as of January 1, 2013. He lives in Silicon Valley, California and will oversee the development of the company's west coast expansion.
