FRAMINGHAM, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/18/13 -- IDG's DEMO conferences, world-renowned for launching today's most innovative and eye-opening technologies and companies, today unveiled an agenda of industry luminary speakers and experts for the inaugural DEMO Mobile event. DEMO Mobile will highlight the best new mobile technologies based on design, innovation and market potential and will be held April 17, 2013 at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco.
Legendary entrepreneur, investor and mentor Vinod Khosla will keynote DEMO Mobile 2013, revealing how other entrepreneurs can identify and profit from industry shifts. Khosla made a name for himself as the co-founder of Daisy Systems and founding CEO of Sun Microsystems where he pioneered open systems and commercial RISC processors. As the founder of Khosla Ventures, he focuses on impactful clean technology and information technology investments, including mobile technology. He sits on the boards of directors for both Jawbone and Square and invests in several early-stage mobile startups, including Cinemagr.am, Ginger.io, and Instacart.
DEMO Mobile 2013 will also feature the first Founder School, where entrepreneurs can learn from each other and those who have struggled with many of the same challenges before them. Founder School's inaugural speaker will be serial entrepreneur, author, business school professor and the recognized founder of the Lean Startup Movement, Steve Blank. He will share insight from his most recent book, The Startup Owner's Manual: The Step-By-Step Guide for Building a Great Company, and how DEMO Mobile 2013 attendees can make the most of mobile market potential, from building better teams to budgeting for business success.
"With the launch of DEMO Mobile our goal is to curate not only the best products and demonstrators, but also the best, most relevant speakers and experts," said DEMO executive producer Erick Schonfeld. "The insight and knowledge shared by this group of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and key industry players will make a lasting impression on not only our demonstrators, but the entire DEMO Mobile audience."
For the past 23 years, the DEMO conference has consistently featured high-quality panelists and speakers ranging from renowned venture capitalists to technology leaders and veteran entrepreneurs. After each group of industry-specific demonstrators -- ranging from Mobile Health to Mobile Enterprise -- industry pundits will take the stage and offer a unique layer of context to DEMO Mobile by providing feedback, thoughts and insights on the innovative launch demonstrations in their area of expertise.
