ORLANDO, Fla., March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Delivering the future of business analytics, Pentaho Corporation today announced the appointment of three new strategic hires in the United States to continue to accelerate its big data product and platform development as well as its high revenue growth. The new executives are Bob Kemper, executive vice president, engineering; Nick Gonzalez, chief data scientist and vice president predictive analytics; and Terilyn Palanca, big data product marketing director.

Bob Kemper, Executive Vice President, Engineering, joins Pentaho to lead the company's engineering team to build products and extend its big data analytics platform that supports the future of analytics. Bob is a world-class software development executive with an extensive background in business intelligence, data warehousing, predictive analytics, big data analytics and cloud-based analytical applications. His unique qualifications are ideally suited to help Pentaho build upon its rich analytical platform and scale products to the next level. Prior to Pentaho, Bob held senior positions at Hyperion, SPSS, Inc., Pivotlink and PrecisionPoint Software, where he successfully built and managed large, global engineering teams. Bob is based in Orlando and reports to Pentaho CEO, Quentin Gallivan.
Nick Gonzalez, Chief Data Scientist, VP Predictive Analytics, joins Pentaho as part of the Big Data team where he will focus on the company's predictive strategy. Nick brings a wealth of predictive, machine learning, and big data expertise to the team. With 15 years of experience driving advanced technologies for the advertising and video game industries, Nick was chief software architect for EA Sports On Demand where he led the development of several large scale distributed systems, including GamerNet, Photo Game Face, and Tiger Woods Online. Most recently, he was the Co-Founder and CTO of Row Sham Bow, Inc., a direct-to-consumer gaming company founded on a unique, real-time, big data, predictive analytics platform. Based in Orlando, he reports to Co-Founder and chief strategy officer, Richard Daley.
Terilyn Palanca, Big Data Product Marketing, comes to Pentaho to orchestrate the marketing of its big data integration and analytics capabilities. Teri has more than 20 years' experience in strategic marketing, research/intelligence, and influencer relations primarily in the DBMS, data management and business intelligence/data integration fields. Prior to Pentaho, Teri was a senior product marketing manager at Informatica and director of competitive intelligence at Oracle. Teri brings specific expertise in working with market analysts as senior analyst relations manager at Sun Microsystems and a research director at Giga Information Group. Based in San Francisco, she reports to Donna Prlich, Senior Director, Product and Solutions Marketing.
