Infragistics Inc. recently purchased an AJAX-based JavaServer Faces (JSF) user interface component suite from Otrix SARL. The Otrix development team has joined with Infragistics to develop market and support NetAdvantage for JSF, a new user interface component product line for the JavaServer Faces platform.

The main benefits of this well-engineered, mature code base include the use of the AJAX framework, an existing UIElement framework, easy styling and built-in professional design templates. “The JSF components we purchased form Otrix will provide high value to our NetAdvantage customers and are consistent with Infragistics’ existing product strategies and framework-based architectures,” said Dean Guida, CEO of Infragistics, adding that he is optimistic about uniting two highly talented engineering teams to continue strengthening Infragistics’ leadership and platform support in the developer tools market.

Our combined teams will enable continued innovation with JSF and AJAX while providing a well-supported, high value NetAdvantage for JSF subscription to customers. ” added Stephane Bastian, CEO of Otrix.
Infragistics will introduce their JSF components under their NetAdvantage brand of component suites, with plans to continuously broaden and deepen their JSF product offering in future releases. Future releases will include new products and features, delivered through a subscription model twice annually. Infragistics is committed to providing client-side consistency across platforms in keeping with Infragistics’ overall product branding and architecture.
