Apperian Prepares Strategic Enterprise Mobility Management Thought Leadership and Education Initiatives

Apperian Programs to Help Customers Drive Adoption and Accomplish Transformative Enterprise Mobility Goals

BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/23/13 -- Apperian, Inc., the enterprise mobile application management (MAM) pioneer, today announced that it will lead two upcoming initiatives to share insights from company executives and other industry luminaries. These initiatives will be made available to companies looking for help in building a secure and productive enterprise mobility roadmap.

These initiatives are in response to inquiries from companies in industries as diverse as pharmaceutical, financial services, entertainment, media, retail, manufacturing and government, and across functional areas covering sales, marketing, field service, human resources and more. The initiatives will strive to educate companies earlier in their technology vetting processes so they can build their businesses on mobile platforms that best fit their needs.

New Apperian thought leadership and education initiatives include:

The Apperian Strategic Advisory Council - A selection of Apperian customers and leaders from outside organizations with unique insights into the mobility challenges faced by enterprises of all types and sizes, chaired by Apperian's founder and recognized mobility industry expert, Chuck Goldman. This group will regularly evaluate mobility needs and then share success stories and suggested strategies for meeting the needs of increasingly mobile workforces, managing the rapid evolution of devices and ensuring their security and productivity.

Enterprise Mobility Management "Early Education" Webinar Series - A series of webinars led by Apperian executives with accompanying industry experts and customers to discuss specific challenges in a more focused environment tailored to address questions raised by groups of companies facing similar mobility challenges. "I'm passionate about getting people as excited as I am about the future of enterprise mobility. I look forward to working with other leaders to bring some clarity into what is a confusing space for anyone responsible for their companies' mobility solutions," said Chuck Goldman, Apperian Founder. "These initiatives are designed to welcome those looking for direction, be educational, dispel myths and misinformation and arm people with the right questions to ask mobility vendors as they vet different solutions."

"Apperian's a recognized leader in this space and we want to share that knowledge with the rest of the industry through these educational initiatives," said David Patrick, CEO, Apperian. "We often talk to companies that already have a solution for managing employees' devices, but soon realize that their legacy device tools won't scale at distributing and managing apps and aren't leading to the desired levels of adoption. Our efforts are aimed at sharing what we've learned from helping our customers to deliver thousands of apps across hundreds of thousands of users so that other companies can accomplish transformative enterprise mobility goals."

While the focus and objectives of IoT initiatives are many and diverse, they all share a few common attributes, and one of those is the network. Commonly, that network includes the Internet, over which there isn't any real control for performance and availability. Or is there? The current state of the art for Big Data analytics, as applied to network telemetry, offers new opportunities for improving and assuring operational integrity. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jim Frey, Vice President of S...

The Jevons Paradox suggests that when technological advances increase efficiency of a resource, it results in an overall increase in consumption. Writing on the increased use of coal as a result of technological improvements, 19th-century economist William Stanley Jevons found that these improvements led to the development of new ways to utilize coal. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, compared the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, examin...
