Tinypass Updates API; Adds Library for Ruby Developers

Tinypass, which enables media companies and websites to create paid content business models, announced today it has released an API library for Ruby developers, making it easy to incorporate the Tinypass platform into Ruby-powered sites. The new Tinypass API library for Ruby augments the company’s existing libraries for Java, .NET and PHP. The latest releases for all supported environments can be downloaded on the developer page at http://developer.tinypass.com/downloads.

Utilized by over 250 media companies, publishers, research firms, education companies and other businesses to implement their paid content strategies, the Tinypass platform allows clients to develop customized pricing models for all types of digital media. Tinypass scales to support operations of any size, is free to set up and provides users with the functionality of major paywalls and download services in a flexible and easy to use package.

“Ruby is one of the most widely used programming languages in the world and we are excited to provide an API library that allows developers to seamlessly incorporate the Tinypass platform into their Ruby-based websites and apps,” said Matt Frazier, chief technology officer of Tinypass. “Content and media sites in particular have an affinity for Ruby, making the new library a logical addition to our API as we continue to enhance both platform compatibility and functionality.”

Today’s news follows the company’s recent closing of a $3 million funding round led by Cascabel Management and Plough Penny Partners, announced in early November.
