Gemalto lança próxima geração de produtos M2M acrescentando os recursos de soluções Java ME8, da Oracle, e com base em chipsets da Qualcomm Technologies

A CES - Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), líder mundial em segurança digital, anunciou hoje a adição da próxima geração de soluções Java™ ME Embedded, da Oracle, versão 8, com base em chipsets da Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. (QTI) ao seu portfólio de módulos e dispositivos celulares Cinterion®. Com compatibilidade para Java e software baseado em nuvem SensorLogic como plataforma de serviços (SaaS), os novos produtos permitem a Gemalto lançar a próxima geração de soluções e serviços integrados que simplificam a tecnologia M2M (Máquina a Máquina) e aceleram o desenvolvimento de aplicativos para ampliar a crescente IoT (Internet das Coisas). Os novos produtos1 terão como alvo aplicativos de dispositivos médicos, automóveis e medidores inteligentes de contêineres, eletrodomésticos e sistemas de alarme.

O portfólio de soluções e serviços M2M Cinterion® oferece conectividade segura e sem fios em uma estrutura Java inteligente para dar suporte ao número crescente de aplicativos IoT inovadores. Os novos produtos habilitados com Java da Gemalto entram para um portfólio já existente de módulos baseados em QTI que abrange toda a linha de tecnologias celulares, desde CDMA até LTE. Essa flexibilidade permite aos fabricantes de dispositivos construírem soluções em um mesmo design voltadas para qualquer segmento da indústria e qualquer tecnologia de rede, garantindo aplicativos de longa duração e modernos. O software em JAVA é executado nos processadores de aplicativos onboard dos chipsets Qualcomm Gobi™, que podem eliminar o gasto de processamento adicional e chips de memória, reduzindo, assim, o custo total, complexidade e tamanho das soluções.
