Things to do in cold weather:

1. Ice Skating - Free (with skates)
The weather outside is frightful, but ice skating is so delightful! Millennium Park's McCormick Tribune Ice Rink is open November through March, so grab the kids and enjoy the day on the ice. Skates are available for $10.

2. ComedySportz - $22 - $24
Laugh it up with the kids at ComedySportz. Staying inside is always a good idea on cold Chicago nights, and ComedySportz offers family friendly shows that kids get a kick out of. Kid appropriate shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights have everyone laughing.

3. Amazing Chicago - $10 - $40
From puzzles to a spinning tunnel, Amazing Chicago's Funhouse Maze adds excitement to any cold day in Chicago. Venture through the maze and try to escape! The maze only costs $10, and children 4 and under enter free. Amazing Chicago is located on Navy Pier.

4. Shedd Aquarium - General Admission $6 - $8
See your children's faces light up while exploring the wonders of Shedd Aquarium. The Caribbean Reef, Waters of the World, and Amazon Rising are all included in general admission, but the Shedd Aquarium offers an array of other incredible exhibits perfect for a chilly day in the Windy City.

5. Chicago Museums - Price varies

1. Navy Pier - Free
On warm Chicago days Navy Pier is the place to be with kids! From the famous ferris wheel to Children's Museum, there are an endless array of attractions to enjoy at the iconic Chicago pier. Rent a bike and explore!

2. Millennium Park - Free
Chicago in the summertime can get hot, so bring the kids to cool off in Millennium Park. From the Crown Fountain to shady trees, this attraction is perfect for hot days in Chicago. Pack a picnic and enjoy the day with the whole family.

3. Lincoln Park Zoo - Free
One of the few remaining free zoos in the United States, the Lincoln Park Zoo is an incredible thing to do with kids in Chicago when the sun is out. The zoo is always offering great exhibits, shows and activities -- so join the fun.
