Thermopylae Names Josh Lewis Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales

Thermopylae Sciences & Technology (TST), a leading provider of geospatial solutions, based on the Google mapping platform, today announced the hiring of Josh Lewis to senior vice president of commercial sales. In this new role, Lewis will be responsible for driving the adoption of the company’s geospatial and mobile solutions within the commercial sector.

“In today’s competitive market, we are seeing more companies looking for ways to gain advantage by leveraging the spatial information locked in their business systems. Traditional approaches to get at this information have been overly complex and required deep specialization,” said Lewis. “I’m thrilled to be joining Thermopylae and to have the opportunity to tackle commercial need from a different angle. Our easy-to-use, lightweight, powerful spatial solutions are based on the Google mapping platform and help customers get their work done using the same types of tools they’re already using today. “

Prior to Thermopylae, Lewis headed global channels and alliances for Esri, where he led a successful transformation of its global partner ecosystem. He has also held senior leadership positions with a range of technology companies, including Sun Microsystems, Informix Software and numerous startups in the SaaS and mobile arenas.

“Josh is a natural fit for Thermopylae as we continue to expand our customer base of commercial organizations,” said A.J. Clark, president, Thermopylae. “He brings a wealth of Silicon Valley experience and industry connections, and has remarkable insight into the successful integration of geospatial business information within the enterprise. Josh has a keen awareness of market trends and how our solutions can assist organizations in harnessing the big data they already have, identifying hidden trends through real-time analysis and driving better business decisions.”
