AppZero Launches New Release of Self-Service App Migration Tool on AWS

Solution Accelerates Cloud Adoption for Enterprise Applications

AppZero, a fast, flexible way to move enterprise applications to the cloud, announced on Tuesday a new version of AppZero Service Provider Edition for use on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. AppZero's award-winning application migration tool enables customers to move server applications onto AWS simply, fast, and with no code changes -- at the push of a button.

New features in this release include a "single view" of a migration, the ability to conduct multiple, concurrent migration, and simplified dashboard/navigation.

AppZero SP is a self-service web portal for the automated migration of Windows production applications to the cloud.  The cloud service separates an application from the operating system and machine, copies it and reinstalls the application on AWS. In addition to migrating from the datacenter to the cloud, the service enables operating system modernization by allowing customers to move from an old operating system to a newer one, with the click of a button.

As Windows Server 2003 fast approaches end of support (EOS), the ability to move to a newer version of the operating system (WS2008 R2, WS2012 or WS2012 R2) becomes critical.  AppZero SP enables customers to modernize and move to AWS in one step.  A newly published AppZero survey of Fortune 1,000 companies revealed that 75 percent of respondents wish to, or are considering, move to the cloud as part of their EOS remediation efforts.
