@ThingsExpo Early Bird Savings here!
Intelligent systems may share common architectures, but they can solve a variety of challenges - from increasing accuracy with a rail signaling system to improving safety with an air traffic control system. In the transportation industry, addressing these challenges is particularly critical in order to ensure safety, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
In his session at @ThingsExpo, James Kirkland, an Enterprise Solutions Architect at Red Hat, will discuss real-world use cases in the transportation industry and how open source technologies can create integrated, interoperable, and reliable systems of thousands of devices. He will also cover:
- Optimized routing and fuel management with a combination of resource location tracking and business rules.
- Telecommunications utilization and availability through multi-path link management.
- Decision-making in the field to decrease reaction time and mis-routing of assets.
- Real time communication to improve safety
- Data analysis to predict equipment failures.
