RealCup® brand of capsules expands distribution with Marley Coffee® in national retail outlets across Canada

Over 1200 stores under Loblaw Company, Safeway and Longos banners
to carry Marley Coffee® blends starting this summer

MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 31, 2014 /CNW/ - The RealCup® brand portfolio of single-serve capsules will see expanded distribution next month with three major Canadian grocery chains signing on to carry Marley Coffee® (OTCQB:JAMN) in the RealCup® brand of capsules. RealCup® brand is an independent single-serve beverage launched by Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee.

Six of the most popular Marley Coffee® blends will be available in Loblaw market and discount banners across Canada in October.  Safeway will be the first grocery chain in western Canada to offer the popular products.  One Love is 100% Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Lively Up is a medium dark Espresso roast with hints of buttery caramel and sweet cocoa. Smile Jamaica is the Marley Coffee® brand signature blend, comprised of a minimum 20% Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee. Loblaw market stores will also carry Get Up, Stand Up, a mild, yet sweetly balanced blend that is bright, floral and smooth with a hint of lemon grass, Buffalo Soldier, an earthy blend of 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified™ beans that is sultry, smoky and deliciously smooth, and Catch a Fire, which pairs subtle notes of dark chocolate with the sophisticated heat of chili peppers for a tantalizing taste.  Loblaw discount banners will also add Buffalo Soldier.  One Love, Lively Up, and Get Up, Stand Up will also be available in 26 Longos stores beginning in late August.  Loblaw, Safeway and Longos join the Sobeys and Metro grocery chains in offering Marley® coffee in RealCup™ single-serve capsules across Canada.

"We are very excited to see the immediate benefits of our partnership with Mother Parkers and their RealCup® brand of capsules," said Rohan Marley, founder and Chairman of Marley Coffee.  "Canadians from coast to coast will now be able to enjoy the benefits of the unique filter in the RealCup® capsules that gives all of the Marley Coffee® blends a truly authentic taste in a single-serve capsule brew.  Taste and quality are the hallmarks of our brand and we are looking forward to moving our coffees to the recyclable EcoCup™ capsule next year which will add an important level of sustainability to our capsule products."

"With our recent independent testing that confirms the RealCup® capsule with our Flavour Max™ filter delivers a fuller-bodied, more flavorful cup of coffee compared to the leading brand, Canadian retailers have been eager to list brands in the RealCup® capsule format, like Marley Coffee®, as they know there is a unique point of difference that consumers will respond to," added Jerry Gilbert, Vice President of Retail Sales for Mother Parkers.
