PNMsoft Joins Microsoft Business Process Alliance and Reveals Innovative BPM Solutions for Business Users

SAN DIEGO, California, February 26 /PRNewswire/ -- PNMsoft is proud to reinforce the Microsoft Business Process Alliance vision for "BPM everywhere," by announcing new product and licensing initiatives to provide high-end, user-friendly BPM solutions based on Microsoft's recent product releases, including Windows Workflow Foundation.

At the Gartner BPM Summit, PNMsoft announced it will collaborate with Microsoft by joining the Microsoft Business Process Alliance, a select group of industry-leading software vendors accelerating mainstream adoption of Microsoft's vision for People-Ready processes by offering customers a powerful set of end-to-end solutions for automating business processes.

"We hand-picked our alliance members very carefully," said Burley Kawasaki, group product manager in the Connected Systems Division at Microsoft Corp. "PNMsoft's unique solution for business users delivers a strategic advantage and complements our BPM products to enable mainstream adoption of People-Ready processes by offering customers a powerful set of end-to-end solutions."

PNMsoft CEO Gal Horvitz today outlined at Gartner BPM Summit a vision for "BPM everywhere" and committed to providing an end-to-end BPM solution uniquely equipped with powerful tools for both IT professionals and end users. In his presentation, Horvitz described how the industry can gain from PNMsoft latest technology, which will help BPM projects make the leap from traditional development approaches to innovative implementations methods by efficiently utilizing resources; using PNMsoft's leading BPM application, IT professionals can configure the system building blocks, while business users and process analysts create and customize the applications. "PNMsoft's SEQUENCE provides a turnkey BPM solution for ISV's who want to "BPMize" their solutions, and clients who are looking for fast ROI. By offering business process owners maximum power and independence, while maintaining centralized IT control, SEQUENCE offers users the best of both worlds" said Horvitz.

As a result of the Business Process Alliance, the PNMsoft Sequence and Microsoft BizTalk Server integration will allow customers to take advantage of these enhanced capabilities:

- End to end process integration across both the Sequence and BizTalk Server

- Sequence integration with the BizTalk Business Rules Engine (BRE)

- Sequence integration with BizTalk Business Activity Monitoring Services (BAM)

- Sequence integration with the BizTalk Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform

PNMSoft also announced its strategic intent today to align future product development with the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 and Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation, a development platform for the rapid creation of workflow-enabled applications. PNMSoft views Windows Workflow Foundation as an important foundational part of Microsoft's process platform and is exploring plans to deliver an even deeper, architectural-level integration of their technologies and Windows Workflow Foundation in a coming major release. PNMSoft is gathering customer feedback currently on what kinds of integration would help expand the potential audience for Windows Workflow Foundation beyond software programmers to information workers and business users.

PNMsoft provides turnkey solutions by taking advantage of Microsoft's application platform building blocks - BizTalk Server, Windows Workflow Foundation, the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 - into a suite with advanced features for executives, employees, and information workers. Furthermore, PNMsoft Sequence is tightly integrated with Microsoft Office Project Server and Microsoft Dynamics.

The new licensing initiative was announced as part of PNMsoft Business Partners network expansion - a key component of PNMsoft's strategy to support enterprises and mid-market organizations globally. With a new OEM licensing program, PNMsoft also offers Independent Software Vendors injection of world class BPM capabilities into their existing solution.

Customer feedback for the recent release by PNMsoft has been highly positive: "There is no way we could have handled our explosive growth, from 27 offices to 65 in one year, without using BPM to manage most of the processes associated with setting up locations all over the world. Being in the Securities industry, compliance is a major part of our processes. Having our Compliance Supervision processes automated has lifted an unbelievable burden from the organization." said Peter Beck, SwiftTrade President.

The challenges of aggregating data from consumer-oriented devices, such as wearable technologies and smart thermostats, are fairly well-understood. However, there are a new set of challenges for IoT devices that generate megabytes or gigabytes of data per second. Certainly, the infrastructure will have to change, as those volumes of data will likely overwhelm the available bandwidth for aggregating the data into a central repository. Ochandarena discusses a whole new way to think about your next...

Cell networks have the advantage of long-range communications, reaching an estimated 90% of the world. But cell networks such as 2G, 3G and LTE consume lots of power and were designed for connecting people. They are not optimized for low- or battery-powered devices or for IoT applications with infrequently transmitted data. Cell IoT modules that support narrow-band IoT and 4G cell networks will enable cell connectivity, device management, and app enablement for low-power wide-area network IoT. B...

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
