Computer Associates has named Mark Barrenechea to the newly created post of senior VP of product development and he's supposed to run CA's R&D, reporting to CA CEO Sanjay Kumar. Barrenechea joins CA from Oracle, where he served as senior VP of applications development and was on the executive management committee. Barrenechea has written two books – "eBusiness or Out of Business" and "Software Rules."
