FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- DataCore Software, the leading provider of storage virtualization and management software, today announced that DNS, a major distributor of networking, storage, servers, security and "best in class" virtual infrastructure products in Denmark and Sweden, has been appointed as a distributor for all DataCore solutions.
"Adding DNS as one of our distribution partners is a significant value-add for expansion of DataCore's channel into Scandinavia," said Nick Broadbent, UK Managing Director & EMEA Operations, DataCore Software. "It's a market that has matured dramatically over the past two years in terms of adoption of virtualization technology, and this relationship will allow us to reach partners via a distributor that has strong support and training capabilities and specializes in recommending an entire virtual infrastructure. We are confident of a long and successful relationship with DNS."
According to Viktoria Svedeback, managing director for DNS Sweden, "Our resellers need a storage virtualization vendor with vision, stability and a cost-effective suite of virtualization solutions that truly span from the small to mid size businesses to large scale enterprise. At DNS, our Virtual Infrastructure division has seen adoption of virtual server sales soar through vendors like VMware. So the selection of DataCore, who does for disks what VMware does to servers, seems a natural addition to our portfolio. And because virtualization offers our customers enriched margin and professional service capabilities, we know that the relationship with DataCore will provide a winning combination."
DNS has dedicated networking, storage, servers, security and virtual infrastructure divisions and sells to a network of over 300 resellers across Denmark and Sweden. Its progressive marketing and communications to the channel will also provide one of the best routes to market for SANmelody and SANsymphony(TM) Enterprise Edition 6.0, the new version of DataCore's flagship solution, launched in February 2007.
DataCore's SANvantage Partner Program provides the backbone from which Swedish and Danish resellers can optimize storage virtualization sales with enhanced sales, marketing and technical programs. Resellers interested in becoming a SANvantage Partner should email: Sabrina.Gelado@datacore.com.
