ExpressJet Airlines Launches First Flights From Bergstrom/Austin International Airport

Start of ExpressJet Non-Stop Service Brings First of Nine New Destinations to Austin Business and Vacation Travelers

AUSTIN, Texas, April 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Austin travelers got their first experience with ExpressJet Airlines' new non-stop service from Los Angeles today. ExpressJet will bring non-stop service on line to connect Austin with Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Kansas City, Mo., Albuquerque, Tucson, Corpus Christi, New Orleans, and Jacksonville, Fla. in time for the summer travel season.

"Introducing ExpressJet has improved ABIA's ability to meet the needs of this growing market. We see demand for non-stop flights continuing to climb," said Jim Smith, Executive Director for Austin/Bergstrom International Airport.

Making it easier for business and leisure travelers to come to Austin helps to spark the local economy. In addition, ExpressJet has created new jobs and made significant investments in airport facilities and equipment.

Jim Ream, ExpressJet President and CEO, said that ExpressJet branded service aims to save travelers time by eliminating layovers in crowded hubs. "We intend to deliver our customers more convenience and more service in growing cities like Austin with populations that are the right size for our 50-seat aircraft," Ream said.

Announcing details of the ExpressJet frequent flyer program, Ream said the JetSet(SM) program, "rewards our customers for how often they fly, not how far they go." ExpressJet customers earn one roundtrip ticket to any destination ExpressJet serves for every eight roundtrips, or 16 one-way tickets, within a 24-month period.*

As a special introduction to the ExpressJet brand of flying, a limited-time JetSet promotion rewards flyers who purchase four round-trip or eight one-way tickets between now and September 30, 2007 with one free roundtrip ticket to any destination ExpressJet serves.**

Flying a young fleet of fuel-efficient Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft configured with no middle seats, ExpressJet gives every customer an assigned seat. To make getting on and off the plane easier, ExpressJet also offers valet carry-on baggage service.

Ream said ExpressJet upgraded in-flight entertainment with more than 100 channels of free XM(R) Satellite Radio, complimentary, recognized name-brand snacks with full-service meal options on longer flights, and redesigned, memory foam leather seating.

ExpressJet schedules and fares are available for sale through most distribution channels for service from Austin to the following markets:

ABQ Albuquerque, NM June 4 CRP Corpus Christi, TX April 30 JAX Jacksonville, FL April 30 MCI Kansas City, MO April 23 MSY New Orleans, LA May 14 OKC Oklahoma City, OK April 23 ONT LA/Ontario, CA April 2 TUS Tucson, AZ April 9 TUL Tulsa, OK June 4
