(July 9, 2002) - Nazomi Communications, Inc., a pioneer in universal and scalable solutions for boosting the performance of software running on the Java Platform, announced that it has licensed Sun Microsystems' Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) and Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP). The CLDC and MIDP are part of the J2ME platform.

The agreement will give Nazomi access to Sun's Java technology that Nazomi will incorporate into its current JA108 Universal Acceleration chip for Java architectures and multimedia, and in its JSTAR and JSMART acceleration technologies. Nazomi's JA108, JSTAR, and JSMART solutions are optimized for mobile wireless and such environments where performance, power consumption, cost, size, and time to market are critical success factors.
