WHAT:
During Intel Corporation's General Session "Intel Rocks Java Technology" at the JavaOne conference on Wednesday, May 9, Visual Numerics will demonstrate a 100% pure Java financial services application using the company's JMSL(TM) Numerical Library for Java(TM). The pricing application, which calculates the value of a stock option, will run on a Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST(TM) 500 series server and BEA WebLogic JRockit Java Virtual Machine (JVM), optimized for the Intel® Itanium® 2 processor.
WHY:
The demonstration, given by Visual Numerics' Director of North America Andy McClure, will show how Java financial engineers and application developers can use Java software and Intel's high-performance computing technology to create mainstream, mission-critical applications, and go from concept to production more rapidly than with other programming languages.
To hear more about Visual Numerics' Java technology, catch their daily presentations at Intel's booth #902.
