Sybase 365 Launches AvantGo for BlackBerry

Mobile content and advertising service for BlackBerry smart phones provide new service for users

Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc., a provider in the delivery and settlement of messaging interoperability as well as the management and distribution of mobile content, has launched the AvantGo client for BlackBerry smart phones, from Research In Motion (RIM). BlackBerry users can now access updated, customized content from thousands of mobile Web sites anytime and anywhere – in either an online or offline mode – in a format that is optimized for BlackBerry smart phones.

AvantGo for BlackBerry caches content locally, providing enhanced navigation, faster browsing, and dual online and offline availability. In addition, AvantGo utilizes its patented advanced sync technology, which automatically updates pages on the device giving the user access to the latest news and information around the clock.

AvantGo provides media content partners and advertisers with a turnkey, ad-funded mobile distribution solution without the cost of building an initial mobile audience or advertiser network, and provides advertisers with reach into a highly desirable mobile audience. As a result, hundreds of major brands use AvantGo, which in turn provides mobile users access to both quantity and quality of content.

AvantGo for BlackBerry is available immediately and is free for end users. BlackBerry users can access and download the client through the BlackBerry browser at www.avantgo.com.
