Drugs Sex and UNIX - as a matter of IP (stands for Intelectual Property, remember) belongs to HCR - a Toronto based UNIX firm which hosted the 1983 USENIX convention in Toronto and distributed these buttons out of its booth with a TM mark on them. Last summer we have celebrated 20 years from this button's first appearance.
As far as the legal side of this story, HCR was later acquired by SCO, but the rights to this button were not included in the deal, which means SCO and therefore Darl does not own - Sex Drugs and UNIX - and neither does anyone else.
Anyone has the phone number of Mr Boies - so we can protect our IP?

It does make me wonder: Is Mr. McBride one of those "users" of the latter type?
