Goldman Sachs predicted another restructuring at Sun last week amid the euphoria that a first look at Sun's June numbers engendered with investors and, lo and behold, Sun Tuesday confided to the SEC that it's anticipating throwing a unquantified number of its staff from "various geographies" out on their collective keister the next few months and taking a $100 million to $150 million charge.
The math suggests it will let another 1,000-1,500 people go on top of the thousands already shown the door.
It also looks like Sun can't afford its current board of 11 directors and will cut back to 10.
