This latest announcement is one in a series of moves to bring Xandros' Linux into mass consumer circulation. In November 2004, Xandros debuted a line of PCs, assembled by Microtel, on Walmart.com. The company followed this up with dramatic price cuts, offering Xandros Linux-based PCs for $199.98. The Xandros PC, marketed as an affordable alternative to all other PCs, comes equipped with a complete suite of pre-installed software for home, school, and small office desktop use.
Xandros will debut its latest line of desktop products at LW at a press conference on Wednesday, February 16, from 10:00-10:45 am, at the Hynes Convention Center.
The Xandros executive staff and engineers will be available during the show, including, Andreas Typaldos, CEO, Dr. Frederick H. Berenstein, co-founder & CTO, Ming Poon, vice president of software development, and David Finkelstein, vice president of sales.
