PDFTron Expands its Offering of PDFNet SDK to Java Developers

PDFTron Expanding Offering

With version 4.0 of PDFNet SDK, PDFTron expands its development platform offering by adding full Java support to the PDF library. The new Java interface exposes the underlying API as a set of Java classes to enable developers to integrate PDFTron's powerful PDFNet API into their Java applications. PDFNet SDK for Java gives developers access to the same broad range of robust functionality already available for .NET, C and C++, while being able to take advantage of the many efficiencies and software development features available with the Java framework. Integration of the new Java version with other applications is a breeze and plenty of Java sample code is delivered as part of the standard distribution of PDFNet SDK.

PDFTron has been urged by the developer community for a Java version of PDFNet SDK for a while. Many users who preferred PDFNet SDK in terms of quality and functionality to other offerings were forced to spend time writing their own custom wrappers around our library or end up going with a less complete solution. Making the Java version of PDFNet SDK available allows software application developers to focus their time on building the core functionality of their applications while feeling assured to have their PDF needs covered now and into the future with the proven, reliable and continuously evolving PDFNet SDK.

Using the new version of PDFNet SDK, developers will also benefit from many new major features and functionality, including full support for transparency enabling developers to process complex documents created using high-end graphics applications such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, for example. Other benefits also include fast and high-quality text extraction, text highlighting and search capabilities, as well as many API enhancements boosting the toolkit's already powerful performance and facilitating the delivery of further improvements in upcoming PDFNet v.4.x releases. A full list of the new features and functionality available in version 4.0 of PDFNet SDK can be found on PDFTron's website at: http://www.pdftron.com/net/whatsnew.html.
