AppLabs has announced the results of the Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA) survey it undertook to showcase the growing interest in SOA
adoption across the IT industry.
The research sampled over 100 IT professionals from Fortune 500 companies,
focused on four key areas of SOA – Planning, Adoption, Benefits & Risks and
Quality Management and Testing issues. This analysis of the information indicates
that there needs to be a fundamental shift in the testing approach towards SOA.
The survey confirms the wide adoption of SOA in organizations and that it is
fast becoming the default choice for integration for both internal and external
business applications.
“While 38% of organizations are already on track with their SOA implementation, 43% are still in the planning stage. The results clearly indicate the adoption of SOA for both technology and business reasons. As experts in SOA implementation, we look forward to working with these organisations to help them seemlessly adopt SOA as an integral part of their IT landscape” added Doc Parghi, Senior Vice President, AppLabs
