Forum Systems Launches FS Sentry 7.1 SOA Gateway

Latest Release Provides Enhanced Web Service Virtualization and SOA Access Management

Forum Systems announced the availability of FS Sentry 7.1, the SOA Gateway product. FS Sentry 7.1 enables rapid integration within a SOA without compromising security.

FS Sentry 7.1 provides SOA professionals the ability to virtualize and centralize disparate service endpoints. Service virtualization and aggregation across complex WSDL enables SOA deployments to simplify their service publishing and consumption process. By using modern identity management systems such as Sun Access Manager or HP Select Access, administrators can provide granular, operation-level control to their ever-expanding SOA deployments.

In a recent report, Gartner states that SOA technologies “will be included in solutions supporting nearly one-third of all IT professional services revenue worldwide by 2010.” Global 2000 enterprises such as Synovus, Washington Mutual, BT, T-Mobile, and the Internal Revenue Service standardizing on Web Services and implementing Service-Oriented Architecture using Forum technology exemplify this trend.

“We find that businesses are initially excited about automating transactions with their trading partners – suppliers, buyers and service providers – but lack products that enable secure, seamless integration,” said Mamoon Yunus, CTO Forum Systems. “This increases project risks, timelines and costs. FS Sentry 7.1 – built on over 7 years of innovation – provides businesses the means to accelerate their SOA development efforts and increase the likelihood of successful project delivery.”

The following new FS Sentry 7.1 features enable SOA users to accelerate and optimize their SOA projects:

  • Point-and-click import, aggregation and export across complex WSDLs
  • Provide credential-based views into services controlled through existing Identity Systems
  • Enable Developer Views into List of WSDLs
  • Provide Policy Catalog for detailed SOA Policy Analysis
  • Enhanced Security support including CRL Caching, XKMS and WS-Trust
  • High-speed HTTP(S)-to-MQ Series protocol mixing
