Progress Sonic ESB 7.5 is the latest version of Progress
Software’s enterprise service bus (ESB) that enables the integration and
flexible re-use of business applications within a service-oriented architecture
(SOA). Progress Software customers benefit from the following key
characteristics of Sonic ESB:
- Sonic ESB has an unstoppable messaging backbone that provides continuous availability right out of the box.
- Sonic ESB allows customers to configure, update and manage their distributed SOA infrastructure from a single console located anywhere on the network.
- The Sonic ESB lightweight, zero-cost container works in a heterogeneous environment – no application servers are required or embedded.
Furthermore, Sonic ESB can connect applications from any vendor. This enables companies to make the most of their prior IT investments while standardizing around SOA. Sonic ESB helps enterprises recognize that they can obtain desired business benefits by moving to a SOA environment —rather than bearing the high risk and cost of the “rip and replace” ethos.
SOA World Magazine announced that nominations are now open for the SOA World Magazine Readers'
Choice Awards, which recognize excellence in the software, solutions, or
services provided by the industry's top vendors. SYS-CON's Readers' Choice
Awards, also known as the "Oscars
of the Software Industry," has been one of the most prestigious
industry award programs for more than a decade. This year's SOA awards will be
given in 19 categories and the award-winning products and services will be
selected by SOA World Magazine readers. Winners will be
announced at the SOA World Conference &
Expo 2008 East, June 23-24 in
Service-oriented architectures have evolved over the past few years out of the original vision of loosely coupled Web services replacing constrained, stovepiped applications throughout enterprise IT.
