DataCore Partner J4 Systems' SANmelody Virtualization Sales Hit High Notes
Companies See The Benefits of Total Enterprise Virtualization

DataCore Software announced that sales from partner J4 Systems have sizzled throughout the first half of 2008. J4 Systems, a DataCore Authorized Business Partner, has added numerous customers to the ranks of DataCore users, including Ahtna Government Services, American Building Supply, Citizens Bank of Northern California, City of Elk Grove, Composite Engineering, Corn Products International, County Medical Services, Hobsons US, Schuering Zimmerman Scully Tweedy & Doyle, and Stockton East Water District, among others.

"Our company has experienced very unpredictable and rapid growth over the past five years," Chris Whitaker, IT Manager, Ahtna Government Services. "The installation of SANmelody, combined with our virtual server environment, has given us the ability to absorb and scale that growth without the costly and yearly replacement of hardware that was originally designed to be replaced after three years. While we are ready to take the next step and add more disk space to our SANmelody environment, the cost of doing so will be much less than the cost of a single server and not require nearly as many man hours as replacing and reconfiguring new servers. SANmelody saves us time and money!"

Going Virtual: The benefits of Total Enterprise Virtualization
"Total Enterprise Virtualization is a reality worldwide, said George Teixeira, CEO and president, DataCore Software."With DataCore as the storage foundation for virtual infrastructure, solution providers like J4 Systems can build enterprise-wide virtual infrastructures with VMware, Citrix and others. DataCore Software's technology enables J4 Systems' clients to extend the virtualization paradigm from server virtualization to storage virtualization, making Total Enterprise Virtualization possible."

Total Enterprise Virtualization has emerged to address mounting demand to extend the benefits of virtualization enterprise-wide by implementing and integrating mature, hardware independent software products, such as those offered by DataCore, Citrix, VMware and others, into a comprehensive virtualization solution spanning storage, servers and desktop computers. "The DataCore approach, like that of VMware, and Citrix, is not contingent upon a customer buying expensive hardware," said John Joseph, president, J4 Systems. "DataCore's affordable hardware independent, thin provisioning software solutions enable any business to fully participate in the cost saving benefits of virtualizing and consolidating its storage."

DataCore and J4 Systems make the virtual enterprise a reality
J4 Systems' mission is to provide its clients with the best technology solutions for their business objectives. To do so, J4 partners with technology vendors and currently maintains the following partnerships: Microsoft Gold Certified Partner (2005 West Region VAR Partner of the Year), Cisco Premier Partner, Citrix Gold Certified Partner, VMware Enterprise Partner, HP Business Partner, AT&T solutions provider and XO Communications partner. "We are extremely gratified to see that J4 Systems has delivered multiple DataCore virtual SAN solutions in support of server virtualization projects to customers during the first half of this year," said James E. Price III, vice president, product and channel marketing, DataCore Software. "In adding DataCore to the mix with Citrix and VMware, J4 is delivering companies the full range of solutions that bring about Total Enterprise Virtualization as an all-inclusive solution."

Today, DataCore storage virtualization and VMware, Citrix or other server or desktop virtualization solutions are working together to bring better and broader virtual infrastructures to customers in over 50% of DataCore deployments. "We strongly believe the DataCore product portfolio completes our Total Enterprise Virtualization offering," said Tiffany Sequeira, sales manager, J4 Systems. "The team at DataCore exemplifies an organization similar to J4 Systems – one that represents a strong company culture with expert staff members who always have the customer's best interest as top priority. I am thrilled with our virtual SAN success and feel confident our customers are equally as satisfied."
