Sun Co-Founder to Lead Cloud Start-Up

Andy Bechtolsheim will be chief development officer and chairman at Arista Networks

Sun Co-Founder Andy Bechtolsheim is shifting to a part-time advisory role at Sun. Having already co-founded Arista Networks with David Sheraton, a tenured professor of engineering at Stanford University who has devised some "very capable, very fast cloud networking software" according to Forbes.com, Bechtolsheim is now going to start working for Arista full-time, as Chief Development Officer.

In 1982 Bechtolsheim co-founded Sun with Vinod Khosla, Bill Joy, and Scott McNealy but by 1995 he left, for networking startup Granite Systems. He is a founding member of Carnegie Mellon University's West Coast campus in Mountain View, California.
