Former Intel CEO and industry demigod Andy Grove, still an Intel advisor, is pushing the company to go into the electric car battery business, according to the Wall Street Journal.

There is little manufacturing capacity in the US, giving the edge to China and Japan, and effective batteries are the primary restraint on electric car adoption.
