Skyway Software Launches SOA Developer Contest at JavaOne
Skyway Software Announces $2500 Gas Card for SOA Developer Contest

Digg This!

Skyway Software, announced a SOA developer contest. The SOA design and delivery solutions provider announced the contest with a prize of a $2500 gas card for the winner. The company feels that the basics are very easy. The participant needs to download a free evaluation copy of Skyway Builder. He has to create a project and submit it via email. The entries would then be rated on a scale of 1 to 10. The criteria for selection are usability, presentation, functionality, usefulness and originality. The contest runs from February 20, 2006 till April 30, 2006. This gives the developers over two months to create an application or a service entry.

Skyway informed that in a recent competition between traditional application development tools and Skyway SOA Platform, Skyway Software outperformed its competitors. Skyway created the application in 15 hours.

Skyway Software revealed that the $2500 gas card is actually a bit more than what the average driver spends a year on gasoline, so the winner would enjoy his prize all year long. If the winning developer chooses not to take the gas card, he stands to get a copy of the Skyway SOA Platform – Developer Edition software, worth $5400. The winner can use this prize throughout the year to build new applications and services.

Skyway said, it created the contest forum to support the development efforts of the contest entrants. The forum is available as a link on the Skyway Software Developer Contest Page.
