The JCP Program Announced the Winners of Its 6th Annual Awards

The JCP Program Management Office has announced the winners of the 2008 JCP Program Awards. The awards ceremony took place at the Spec Leads Dinner organized by the JCP at the 2008 JavaOne Conference. Since its launch in 1998 as the open, inclusive process to develop and revise Java technology specifications, reference implementations, and technology compatibility kits, the Java Community Process program has fostered the evolution of the Java platform in cooperation with the international Java developer community. The JCP has over 1,400 corporate and individual participants; more than 300 Java technology specifications are in development in the JCP program out of which 55% are in final stages. The winners of the 2008 JCP Program Awards are:
